We are pleased to announce that Prof. Ewa Łojkowska was selected to the Committee of Experts of the RE-IMAGINE EUROPE Program, All European Academies (ALLEA) and European Sustainable Agriculture through Genome Editing (EU-SAGE) dedicated to “Sustainable Agriculture and Innovation” chaired by Carlos Moedas, Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation in the previous European Commission.
The objective of this project is to better understand how the Field to Fork (F4F) strategy can become a key component of the European Green Strategy and how agricultural innovations such e.g. CRISPR genome editing of crops can be implemented. The aim of the Committee of Experts will be to determine how, with ambitious climate goals being Europe’s priority, it is possible to develop a global standard for sustainable agricultural development, while protecting biodiversity and limiting the use of agricultural land.
